2014 Cape Times Art Review

“The highlight of the exhibition is 31 small works mainly in Indian Ink by architect Lucie De Moyencourt, who fell in love with the theme.

They occupy a whole wall and pull together as an installation. In spirit and execution, they are somewhere between a traveller’s sketch and illustration in their easy confidence and simple un-pretentiousness. What comes through is not just careful observation from working in situ and the reference of thousands of her photographs but a delight in the spaces and the garden evokes. Look out for her next body of work, inspired by the farm Babylonstoren.”
