" Deyrolle is my favorite shop in Paris, Every time you walk through the doors there is a fantastical surprise. And they painted their walls the most beautiful turquoise blue green which is great for painting! I was incredibly lucky, after asking twice for special permission to photograph the boutique ( it is forbidden to photograph the shop) and insisting that it was only for painting they said :but why you not jus paint hirrre? and that's how I spent happy three months, composing animals into paintings painted from life. as a thank you, I asked them to choose a painting and they chose the lamb which now hangs above the counter at Deyrolle. "
